Story:
The New Republic has just finished it's campaign to seize this sector from the Imperials. After the Imp commander was killed when his Star Destroyer was destroyed, the rest of the Imperial forces in the sector began to retreat. Our forces are now redeploying to occupy the sector, but there is currently a shortage of available craft, due to losses in battle and damaged ships undergoing repair. Until we get reinforcements from Fifth Fleet command, we're going to have to hold onto this sector with what we've got.
Installation:
- Backup your mission.lst file and check that you haven't got any custom missions with the same filenames as the ones in this zip file. If you have move them to another folder.
- Extract all the .tie files and the mission.lst file into your XwingAlliance/Missions folder.
- If you haven't completed the official missions, and would like to play this campaign, extract the file called NewPilot.plt to your main XWA folder, and select that pilot from the launcher.
- Load up XWA and have fun!
To Remove:
- Delete my mission.lst file from your Missions folder and replace it with your copy.
- Delete all the missions called 1b11*.tie from your Missions folder.
Other Stuff/ Known Problems:
- These missions are designed to be played on Medium skill.
- You may notice that in mission #10, the wingmen you have when escorting the transport aren't the wingmen you had for the rest of the mission. I ended up doing this because XWA doesn't like it when you try to have craft return to a region more than once in a mission, and it can be tricky to get them to obey the right orders. I tried to get it working the way I wanted for a couple of days, which is why this ended up being late, but it wasn't cooperating. Just pretend they're the same Xwings :-)
